We’re almost halfway through Season 10 of RuPaul’s Drag Race, and you know what that means! It’s time to pop the corn, feed the children, and rank the remaining queens of this season to decide who will reign as Queen X.
8. MONET X CHANGE
After landing in the bottom two weeks in a row, I am beginning to wonder what else Monet X Change has to offer. At this point, she will either go the route of Chi Chi Devayne in Season 8 and bulldoze through the season after a rude awakening, or become Chi Chi from All Stars 3 and enter a decline week after week, until she sashays away. My bet is on the latter.
7. MONIQUE HEART
Monique is a very entertaining competitor, but I am wondering if, at this point of the competition, she is just soaring through. So far, she doesn’t strike me as outstanding, but it also doesn’t feel right to say she’s in the tail-most end of the competition.
6. KAMERON MICHAELS
I’m going to be honest about Kameron Michaels: I originally ranked her second, then third, then decided to rank her in sixth place. There is abs-olutely nothing wrong with Miss Kameron, but she is just so quiet and I can’t figure out if that’s a good or bad yet.
Who knows? Her reticence might actually be observation. In that case, everyone else should watch out.
5. ASIA O'HARA
Asia is definitely the mother of this season. I’m afraid that her motherly instincts will land her close to the finish line, but still not close enough. Asia is definitely a strong competitor, but whether or not she is the best, we’ll have to see.
4. EUREKA O'HARA
To many, this might already be a given, considering this is her second chance at Drag Race. But the reason Eureka is forth instead of third in my ranking is simply that I think her attitude gets in the way of her excellence. She is a fierce competitor, but I can foresee confidence becoming arrogance, and y’all already know what Eureka is capable of.
3. THE VIXEN
Yes, she is a little messy, but can you blame her? She declared she came to Drag Race to fight from the beginning. I don’t know why y’all are acting so surprised.
That aside, I think the Vixen scarily fierce – though if any acting challenges come her way, The Vixen might be in trouble.
If you’re a drag fan with an Instagram account, then you probably already thought this. Aquaria has a high probability of ranking high. Out of everyone in the competition, I think it is Aquaria who has had the most consistent quality when it comes to serving looks, week after week.
1. MIZ CRACKER
Oh honey, it’s time for dinner, and Miz Cracker is serving. Though she hasn’t won any challenges, it is clear that she is one of the most well-polished queens this season. She also is probably the best Jill-of-all-trades Season 10 has to offer - she is beautiful, she can perform the house down, her hair, makeup, and fashion is on point, and most of all, she is funny as hell. Charisma? Check. Uniqueness? Check. Nerve? Check. Talent? CHECK.
Crack is wack, but Miz Cracker is wacker.
Whoever you believe is the winner, only one thing is for sure: the true winner of RuPaul's Drag Race Season 10 is Vanessa Vanjie Mateo. Her name has been recited every episode so far. She even got Ru fangirling and rocking a gold chain with her name on it.
You can catch these sickening queens on RuPaul's Drag Race on VH1 every Thursday at 8/7c.
