Mama Ru has broken the usual four-year wait for RuPaul's Drag Race: All Stars and is delivering a golden season this January! All Stars 3 will bring nine(?) queens from the first nine seasons of RuPaul’s Drag Race back to the Werk Room to compete for the title of America’s Next Drag Superstar. The competition is tight, but here are our predictions for placing on for All Stars 3:
It wouldn’t be a big surprise if Milk left early. As much as we love a good, tall glass of Milk, his drag is an acquired taste that may or may not push the envelope too far. But you do you, Milk. We just hope you packed like Bianca said.
8. Kennedy Davenport
Being the only pageant queen, we don’t see Kennedy stacking up to all the other girls who entertain. Yes, her lip syncs are fire (and we really, really wanna see a Chi Chi v Kennedy battle) but if All Stars 3 is anything like recent seasons that rely heavily on acting challenges, then we don’t see Ms. Davenport going far in this competition.
7. Morgan McMichaels
It’s hard to say how this veteran queen will handle the new generation of Drag Race, but her look is still as polished and sexy as ever. Hopefully she’s humbled her ego from Season 2… but we can’t wait to see who will dare start beef with her.
Halleloo Ladies! This is Shangela’s third attempt at becoming America’s Next Drag Superstar, so there’s really no excuse to fail… This is her third attempt, and after proving she can’t win twice, the third time might not be any different. We just hope she comes out of a box in her 401-K gown.
Aja stumbled to get a grip on Season 9, but now she is blended to the heavens and not afraid to call people out. Landing a spot on on All Stars 3 so soon after her season, she might have an edge over some of the queens from seasons’ past.
4. Chi Chi Devayne
This bayou southern belle only got better with time, and now her confidence is through the roof. Without the crutch of being the ‘Cheap Queen’ anymore, she has no more excuses to hold back. Watch out, Kennedy.
3. Thorgy Thor
Thorgy is a self-taught fan favorite who did not need a Drag Mother to teach her what it takes. Before joining season 8, she had been performing for more than a decade. Thorgy’s energy will no doubtedly push her to the top of All Stars 3.
This terminally delightful star is still sickeningly sweet, but this time she is out for blood. As said in her “Meet the Queens” interview, she’s already won Miss Congeniality, so she doesn’t have to be nice anymore. We can’t wait to see DeLa unleash the inner beast under all that beauty.
1. Trixie Mattel
The gays say so. Get over it.
In all honesty - Trixie has become a fan favorite after her Drag Race debut, conceiving a popular YouTube series with ex-All Stars queen Katya then spinning that into their own television talk show on Viceland. This is Trixie’s season and gay Twitter seems to be unanimous (for once). It’s Trixie’s Barbie world and we just live in it.
This is not counting a tenth mysterious queen that may, or may not, be on All Stars 3 (Ru suddenly forgot how to math). Rumor has it that Drag Race 1 winner Bebe Zahara Benet will return to the competition, but nothing has been confirmed.
Do you agree with our predictions? Who do you think will be the tenth queen on All Stars 3?
RuPaul’s Drag Race: All Stars 3 will premiere this January on VH1.
